5th Annual Celebration of National Window Film Day in 2018 – A Big Success!
The International Window Film Association (IWFA)
created National Window Film Day (NWFD), celebrated
annually on April 30th, as a way to raise consumer
awareness of window film and the variety of uses and
benefits as well as to honor those who have helped build
the window film industry. It offers an opportunity for
consumers to learn everything they need to know about
professionally installed window film as a cost-effective
solution for saving energy, protecting skin and home decor
from the sun’s damaging UV rays plus window safety.
2018 marked the fifth annual celebration of NWFD and
it was the most successful to date! A record number of
official proclamations came in from across the country
in recognition and celebration of our industry this year,
from Michigan, Delaware, Illinois, North Carolina, Hawaii,
Massachusetts, Virginia, St. Petersburg, Florida, and other
cities/localities. There were nearly 50 new likes to the
IWFA Facebook page during the month-long campaign
leading up to April 30th. Social media was also active
around NWFD generating hundreds of thousands
of impressions on Facebook and Twitter, promoting
#WindowFilmDay. Kudos to all who joined in!
